Gráfico de terreno

Desde el menú «Map Options»se podrá activar o desactivar el gráfico de elevación de terreno. El mismo mostrará información válida SOLO si se han instalado datos del terreno del propio país a través del Map Store, dentro de «Free Elevation data».

En el “modo de vuelo”, se exhibirá el terreno en que tenemos por delante, actualizando la vista cada 5 segundos. Podemos hacer zoom usando dos dedos. La máxima altitud de terreno será mostrada en el gráfico. La escala se muestra en NM. Un símbolo representando el avión será mostrado junto con una línea punteada roja que simboliza la altitud actual (reportada por el GPS).

In «Edit mode», the Elevation Graph will display the terrain between the two waypoints of the selected leg. On the screenshot beside, the terrain profile is displayed for the leg NZKK-NZKO with a total distance of 13.4 NM.

This is very useful when planning your route, to get an estimate of the minimum safe altitude.

Note: Please note that even with a good GPS signal, the altitude as reported by the GPS may have an accuracy of +/- 200 ft. Elevation database may also contain some inaccuracies. You should always plan your flight with a reasonable margin over the obstacles.
