O altímetro de Air Navigation está baseado nos dados captados pelo GPS, como todos os instrumentos de navegação. Geralmente, o GPS tem uma precisão aceitável. Entretanto, este instrumento jamais deveria ser usado em substituição do altímetro barométrico.

O altímetro de Air Navigation exibe altitudes acima do nível médio do mar (MSL) tal como o captado pela unidade GPS. Geralmente, a altitude tem uma precisão de 70 pies ou menos. A precisão é geralmente melhor com outros módulos GPS externos.

The top part is the analog altimeter indicator. On the bottom part you will find the digital altimeter value as well as the current GPS status symbol.

The altimeter unit can be set as feet or meters in the application settings.

A Question mark will show instead of a digital altimeter value when:

• GPS accuracy is more than 230 ft.

Note: remember that you will ONLY find the spinball at the bottom of the instrument on iPhone/iPod Touch devices.
